Dr. Maryam Abdool-Richards, C.M. is a highly respected strategist and thought-leader on building purposeful and robust partnerships for international development in health and healthcare. She was the Vice Chair of the 75th World Health Assembly in May 2022. In her role as Principal Medical Officer at the Ministry of Health, Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, she earned the country’s second highest honour, the Chaconia Medal Gold, for outstanding leadership in public health during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to her role as Principal Medical Officer, Dr. Abdool- Richards serves as a Non-Executive Director on private and public sector boards in the insurance (2022-present), manufacturing (2021-2025) and property development sectors (2020-2025) forging strategic, cross-sectoral alliances to deliver high-value projects.
