National Council for Persons with Disabilities

The National Council for Persons with Disabilities (“NCPD” or “the Council”) is a Cabinet-appointed council which was first established in 2017 under The Disabilities (Solomon Webster) Act, 2016.

The NCPD brings together persons with disabilities and advocates and provides a platform to continue the important work of promoting equality and eliminating discrimination in all areas of society.

The Council meets on a monthly basis and all members (who are not public servants) receive a small stipend as volunteers for each meeting attended. Appointment terms to the Council may range from 3 years to 6 years in duration.
