Dr. Yaron Rado, Chairman of the Board and Chief Radiologist, has been associated with Doctors Hospital for more than fourteen years (14) years. He began working with Doctors Hospital in 2006. He completed his medical training at the University of Hamburg and completed his Residency in Radiology at the University of Duesseldorf, Germany. During this time, he won the Roentgen prize of the German Roentgen Society for “Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise – Germany”.
Dr. Rado is a member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), the American College of Radiology (ACR), and the German Röntgen Society (DRG).
Having a keen interest and experience in digital mammography, CT, MRI and interventional radiology, he strives to implement the latest and most advanced state-of-the-art technology and has been the trailblazer in bringing “cutting-edge” medical equipment to the island. This includes the first digital mammography unit while working for the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority in 2005, then at Doctors Hospital (CTMH at that time) where he brought 3D mammography to the island. He initiated the first multi-slice CT and MRI service on island. In doing so, he fostered the first private sector-public sector partnership and brought the first and only 3T MRI system to the island.
As Chairman of Doctors Hospital, he is striving to build a community of cooperation in the private sector of the hospital and healthcare industry of the Cayman Islands. He is a passionate believer in the notion that if a hospital strives for clinical quality, top-line and bottom-line
