Dr. Margo McCrae brings 11+ years of experience as a hospital-based pharmacist to the Doctors Hospital team. She is the Senior Pharmacist at Doctors Hospital and oversees both their inpatient and outpatient operations. She is the lead pharmacist in the Doctors Hospital Oncology Programme where she ensures that patients receive safe, high-quality care when undergoing chemotherapy.
Dr. McCrae is also the Chair of the Doctors Hospital Strategic Planning and Organisational Development (OD) Team. Through careful analysis and identification of changes required in the organisation, Dr. McCrae and her team develop, implement and reinforce strategies, structures and processes to improve the effectiveness and performance of the organisation.
Dr. McCrae graduated with honors from the University of Manitoba (Canada) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 2009. After graduation, she worked as a Clinical Pharmacist in the areas of internal medicine and general surgery at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, before relocating to the Cayman Islands in 2013. She qualified as Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) in 2014 through the American Pharmacists Association and later went on to successfully complete her Doctorate in Pharmacy at the University of Toronto in 2018.
